Bridges for Hope was invited to attend The Stables at Lake Lanier’s Fall Festival & Fundraiser on October 26, 2013, to benefit the Horse Rescue Farm of Cumming, ran by Cheryl Flanagan. Children had the opportunity to come together with horses in a therapeutic environment, where they were able to view a variety of equestrian demonstrations including barrel racing, cutting cows, jumping and vaulting. There was also also face painting, a bounce house, petting zoo, a mane and tail braiding contest, and of course, pony rides! Thanks goes to those that provided donations to make this outing a success. God bless! Click HERE to see pics.
Arrendale Children Center’s monthly visitation was rescheduled to October 5th in order to host the Big Tent Event. Our staff, volunteers, sponsors and faithful supporters made it possible for TWENTY NINE children to have a special visit with their mothers! The Big Tent Event was a huge success!!!
The chaplain and staff at LASP coordinated games, grilling, face painting, bag racing and so much more for the families in attendance. A special thanks to our Program Director for going the distance to make sure a family from Albany, GA made it to see their mother. Truly a blessing that has not gone unnoticed by our organization, the family, and God.
On August 3, 2013, thirteen BFH kids attended The Hank Stewart Foundation’s Annual White Linen Event, compliments of Hank Stewart. Children enjoyed meeting legendary icons such as C.T. Thanks to our staff, volunteers, and those of the Hank Stewart Foundation for providing our children with an experience they won’t soon forget!

Cocktails for a Cause in support of Bridges for Hope was a huge success! We’d like to thank the many corporations and organizations that came out to support us and learn more about assisting the needs of our organization. Special thanks go out to the individuals that made on the spot donations, and those that volunteered to adopt families for this season!

We would also like send a special thank you to Mr. Roger House of The Buckhead Club for hosting the event and allowing us the opportunity to present to our audience. Roger, the atmosphere was elegant! The view was amazing! The food was splendid! As always, we appreciate your generosity in helping us carry out our mission in support of children of incarcerated parents. Your support helps us continue to operate, meet the needs of our families and expand our programs! Click HERE to see pics.
When shopping for a company vehicle, our founder’s experience was no different than when she shopped for her personal vehicle at Carl Black Chevy/GMC Kennesaw. Terrell and Troy worked beyond operating hours to find the exact truck she was looking for; an affordable SUV with low mileage, that was safe and comfortable for Bridges for Hope's precious cargo.

The very next day, she received word that they had found the perfect vehicle...an extended Chevy Suburban! All the bells and whistles to include all power leather heated seats and park-assist to name a few. Terrell remembered his conversation with our founder on her wishes for a DVD player for the children to enjoy a movie during the long trips to the prison to visit their mothers. Already amazed by his diligence to find an amazing vehicle, her heart was truly moved beyond words when Terrell offered to provide a DVD player with professional installation...FREE OF CHARGE!!!  Thanks again Carl Black Chevy/GMC! We appreciate  you!!
November 7, 2013, the mayor's office held a ribbon cutting ceremony in honor of Bridges for Hope's Six Year Anniversary. Along with Kennesaw's Mayor Mark Matthews, were his constituents, members of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Mark Barre of Impact Executive Offices, BFH staff, volunteers, and a host of other great Kennesaw business owners. Thanks to all who were able to attend and the many more who were with us in spirit. Click HERE to see pics.
On Monday, December 23rd, we held our annual holiday gathering for the children of BFH at our Kennesaw office. We were extremely appreciative to have special guests, Mr. Jay Neal, Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Transition, Support and Reentry, and several family members and sponsors join us.

It was truly an exciting time for the children. With the help of Sesame Street’s “Little Children, Big Challenges: Incarceration" educational kit, they were able to take part in story and discussion time. The children also enjoyed singing carols, playing games and feasting on their favorite pizzas and treats. The highlight of the day came when the children finally got to open their presents…and what a joyous time it turned out to be! We would like to thank our sponsors and volunteers for their generous donations and magnificent toys and gifts. We also would like to thank those who volunteered their personal time to help make this year’s holiday for the children VERY MERRY!
Bridges for Hope would like to thank Elton Brand #42 of the Atlanta Hawks for providing our organization with tickets and shirts for the March 15, 2014 "Atlanta Hawks take on the Denver Nuggets" game! A stream of excitement was in the air as we all cheered from the audience. The children enjoyed the game and truly had a blast!!! Congratulations on a job well done -- Hawks 97, Nuggets 92!
On behalf of the Bridges For Hope Foundation, we would like to thank all who attended, participated, and volunteered in our 1st Annual Golf Charity Fundraiser and Founder's Meet & Greet. Both were a huge success!By the generous donations of Cobblestone Golf Club, Caper's Restaurant, Chick Fil-A, and Gigi's Cupcakes, our guests and golfers experienced delightful delictibles for breakfast and brunch. And who will ever forget the smooth musical jazz sensations of Ollie Patterson, live on saxophone.

A special thanks to all our small and corporate business sponsors and individuals that generously contributed to this worthy cause. Livi Rae's Lingerie donations made the premium Spa Escape gift basket raffle a competition of its own! We would also like to thank Kennesaw Mayor Mark Mathews and City Councilmen Tim Kellingsworth and Jeff Duckett for participating and continuously supporting our organization. Congratulations to the winning team. We hope to see you all again next year!

On August 17, 2014, Bridges for Hope was recognized for its achievements by the 2014 Non-Profit Trinity Awards in the category of "Community Outreach". We are both delighted and honored to have been nominated amongst such humble individuals and by such a distinguished organization. Everyone had a blast on the Red Carpet!
